Music As A Way of Life

I used to play music for my own enjoyment and I trembled at the thought of having to perform for anyone other than my family. As I struggled to balance academics and hobbies in college, I realized music was something non-negotiable for me because it was such a meaningful way of relating to people. That’s what I love most about music. It is a universal language. In a place as diverse as Berkeley, music helps me connect with people and reach out to the community around me.
